Our history.

Our original parent company, Fleet Equipment, was founded in the year 2000 by trucking industry executive, Mark Welch, and later joined by his father, Woody Welch, an industry expert with a long term history in management with M.S. Carriers (subsequently merged with Swift Transportation).  Fleet Equipment was a privately held, full-service leasing operation with a particular focus and expertise related to trucks, tractors, trailers, and specialized equipment.  Headquartered in Memphis, TN at the centrally located Crossroads of America Distribution Center on I-204 & Highway 78.

 

Over the years, Fleet Equipment experienced steady growth and added multiple business locations alongside their Memphis, TN headquarters.  Those being in Nashville, TN, Tupelo, MS, Dallas, TX and Alpharetta, GA.  Our Alpharetta, GA, Fleet Leasing LLC office was created in 2018 to focus on Fortune 500 companies and be a reliable lessor and partner to help with managing their growing fleets of trucks, tractors, trailers, material handling, rail, and construction equipment.  It is no secret that our Fortune 500 companies have many options when it comes to financing partners and leasing arrangement opportunities.  In the first full year of doing business, our Alpharetta, GA office constructed customized lease programs of $100 million in assets for our clients.   

 

Fleet Leasing LLC has grown into a successful privately held company. The kind of success Fleet Leasing LLC has experienced is mainly due to our terrific team and the industry knowledge of Fleet Leasing LLC's Senior Vice President, George Astrauckas.  George has 50 years of experience in full-service leasing, maintenance, vehicle design, specifications, logistics, and finance.  We’re earning business the old-fashioned way because we’re more than just a finance source.  We roll up our sleeves, get to work and use our expertise to support our clients and their transportation teams.
